Non c'è dubbio, il tempo sta cambiando.

Con l'avvicinarsi di una nuova stagione, non vediamo l'ora di dedicarci alle nostre tradizioni di fine estate: preparare la salsa di pomodoro, goderci gli ultimi frutti dell'orto, fare la spesa per il ritorno a scuola e prepararci per l'autunno e l'inverno facendo le conserve per le nostre cantine.

In Molise, i fichi sono maturi e gli ulivi sono a circa un mese dal raccolto. Chi tra noi ha la fortuna di aver mantenuto vivo un albero di fichi nel proprio giardino di Montreal attraverso le generazioni, non dimentichi di condividere!

Le associazioni possono guardare agli ultimi mesi con orgoglio, perché sappiamo che le scampagnate sono state ben frequentati e molto apprezzate dalla comunità. Con la fine dell'estate, anche noi siamo tornati al lavoro. Presto avremo un sito web aggiornato da svelare.

There’s no doubt about it, the weather is changing.

As a new season approaches, we look forward to our late summer traditions: making tomato sauce, enjoying the last of our gardens, back to school shopping, and getting ready for the fall and winter by making preserves for our cantine.

In Molise, the figs are ripe and the olive trees are a month or so away from their harvest. Those among us lucky enough to have kept a fig tree alive in their Montreal backyards through the generations, don’t forget to share!

Member associations can look back on the last few months with pride, as we know the picnics were well-attended and much appreciated by the community. As the summer comes to an end, we are back at work, too. Soon, we will have an updated website to unveil.
